Our Love Story
Like all great love stories, ours started with a mutual friend playing matchmaker. After a few days of talking on the phone (okay more like hours of nonstop conversation), we decided to meet in person. In June 2017, we had our very first meeting in the most romantic of all place...the parking lot of my apartment. LOL. I mean it wasn't a fairytale castle, but something about that moment felt special and a little bit magical. Fast forward to a few years, life did its thing and in 2021, we lost touch. But true love, as it turns out is persistent and in 2022, we found our way back to each other and it was like no time had passed at all. Since then, we have been writing the best kind of love story - one filled with laughter, growth, second chances, and a whole lot of joy! Now, we are getting ready to start the next chapter together!
The Proposal
What i thought was going to be a casual outing to Ugochukwu's high school reunion, turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. On the way there, he mentioned we needed to stop and pick up a friend. When we arrived at the "friend's place", he said the friend wanted us to come upstairs - cue my confusion and mild frustration at the idea of climbing the stairs in heels and then come back down few minutes later. Reluctantly, I followed him but instead of an apartment door, i was met with the most beautiful surprise! A stunning setup with flowers and giant letters that spelled out "Will You Marry Me?"
Surrounded by our closest friends and family, Ugochukwu got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. Through happy tears, i said yes! We spent the rest of the evening celebrating love, laughter, and the beginning of our next chapter.
